Looking ahead, Lauren eagerly anticipates performing in upcoming productions at the Queensland Conservatorium, where she will take on roles including 3rd Lady (‘Die Zauberflöte’), and Zulma (‘L’italiana in Algeri’) in the 2024 Val Machin Scenes, as well as La Suora Zelatrice in ‘Suor Angelica’. Additionally, Lauren is excited to continue her involvement with Voxalis as Disinganno in ‘The Triumph of Time and Truth’, and in their Emergence Recital.

Lauren Towns, is in her final year as a Mezzo-Soprano at the Queensland Conservatorium under the guidance of Lisa Gasteen AO. Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, she was honoured with the North Harbour Club AIMES Emerging Talent Award for Music/Art (2021). Lauren is also the recipient of the Linda Edith Allen Award Undergraduate (singing).

Towns recently participated in programs including the Lisa Gasteen National Opera Program (2023) and the New Zealand Opera School (2024), Her journey at the Queensland Conservatorium has seen her perform in various productions, including the role of Orpheus in ‘Orpheus in the Underworld’ (2023 Val Machin Scenes), and Chorus in ‘Iolanthe’ (2022). In 2023, Lauren performed with Voxalis in ‘The Two Queens’.
