Morgan Rosati

2024 Artist

Morgan is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music Griffith University under the tutelage of Associate Professor Dr Margaret Schindler. Morgan has won several prizes, including the 2023 Linda Edith Allen Award. In May 2023 she was one of two recipients of the Elizabeth Muir Memorial Prize and in 2022 she won the UQ Ethel Osborn Prize. She was also a finalist for the Margaret Baker Genovesi Travel Scholarship prize in both 2023 and 2024.

As an undergraduate, she had a leading role as Zita in the University of Queensland's production of Gianni Schicchi. She also worked alongside conductor Dane Lam in Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) performing as Third Lady. Morgan’s studies at the Conservatorium have allowed her to play various partial roles such as Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Isabella (L’italiana in Algeri) and Public Opinion (Orphée aux enfers) in the Val Machin Opera Scenes.

Morgan also had a leading role as Orpheus in QCGU’s opera Underworld. In September, she will take on the role of Zia Principessa in a Puccini double bill with Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, presented by the Queensland Conservatorium.

As a soloist, Morgan has sung with several orchestras and ensembles: with the Indooroopilly Chamber Orchestra in 2022 and with the Noosa Chorale in 2023, captivating audiences with her performance of Magnificat. In April 2023, she was one of the soloists performing Haydn’s Nelson Mass for the Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s “Sing with the Orchestra” choir workshop. In June this year, she performed as the alto soloist for Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle with the Coolamon Singers.

 Morgan has also performed as a backing vocalist for Mirusia in the vocal ensemble Vocal Manoeuvres. She also sings with the vocal ensemble Lucem Vitae, a group that focuses primarily on sacred music.
