Callum McGing, from Adelaide, South Australia, graduated from the Elder Conservatorium of Music in 2020, studying under Rosalind Martin and receiving multiple scholarships during his time there. He won the Dawn Wallace Award in the Vocal Division at the 2023 Adelaide Eisteddfod.

Since 2018, Callum has been with State Opera South Australia, performing regularly in the chorus for main-stage productions and Adelaide Festival events. He is currently an emerging artist, taking on the titular role in their schools' production of The Frog Prince. 

In addition to performing, Callum works as a vocal teacher in Adelaide, and also works to organise multicultural music events.
