Aylish Ryan is a mezzo-soprano from Toowoomba and is currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, where she is under the tutelage of Shelli Hulcombe. In 2019, Aylish was a recipient of the prestigious Opera Australia Regional Vocal Scholarship, and in 2023 she was an artist in the Lisa Gasteen National Opera Program.

Aylish has played the role of Hermia in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and has had the opportunity to work with director Stuart Maunder in the Queensland Conservatorium’s production of Iolanthe, where she played the role of Leila.
